This release from Chairman’s Reserve pays tribute to the founding father, Denis Barnard and is named after the year it was first launched in 1931. Distilled in both column and pot stills, this rum undergoes a distinct blending process with a selection of 14 distillates added in to the mix. Made using molasses from the local St Lucia sugar cane fields, this blend of rums are all matured individually from anywhere between 5 to 15 years. To conclude to a rum that is complex, unique and intricately layered. On the palate, prominent notes of butterscotch, honeyed raisins and caramel can be highlighted with a top up of baking spices adding a warming heat.
